What is our personal data integrity policy?

This personal data integrity policy page documents how we, Farang Restaurant and TMK-Restaurants AB, collect and use your personal data. In brief, we do so in compliance with EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We explain what that means in detail below.
Please be aware that all of our employees have been informed of our policy.

What is personal data and why do we need it?

The term personal data refers to any information that can be linked to a living person. In this case, that may include names, telephone numbers and any other information that you may provide us with in the process of making a booking at Farang or in other communication with us.
We collect your personal data when you book tables, opt in to our newsletter or purchase gift certificates. We need this data to provide you with service and to make your experience at Farang as pleasurable as possible.

Who is a data controller and what does the data controller do?

A data controller, as the name implies, is the entity that controls ‘why’ and ‘how’ the data is used.
TMK-Restaurants AB is the data controller for all the information you provide us with both on our website and at our restaurant. However, external parties are data controllers for personal data collected from their own records, such as newsletters created by external suppliers and reviews from various review platforms.

Who is the data processer and what does the data processer do?

The data controller can use an external organization to carry out the processing of the data it controls. Any such third party organization is termed a data processer. We use services, mainly IT solutions for a smoothly running booking system and customer communications that require our suppliers to access personal data in working with us. In doing so, these suppliers become our data processers. To maintain a high level of protection, Farang insists that all our data processers sign data processing agreements with us.

How do we treat your personal data?

Collecting, storing and erasing your personal data are forms of data processing. How we process and use your personal data and for what purposes is explained in more detailed below:
